All sales made by Cotswold Cupcakes are subject to the following terms and conditions.
Nothing contained within these conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Please read the following terms and conditions; if there is anything you don’t understand, please feel free to contact us.
The price for the order shall be as stated on your order form. You agree to pay the full price to Cotswold Cupcakes in accordance with the order form after the details are checked and agreed by you.
A wedding cake/cupcake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost. All other cake/cupcake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 25%. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
All deposits become due when the order has been placed and the details checked and agreed by you. All orders are to deemed to have been accepted only when the deposit has been paid.
Payment may be made by direct bank transfer – details available during order process.
Final payments for all orders must be made at least 21 days prior to delivery/collection/set-up or as stated on your order form.
In the event that any payment is not made as agreed, the order will not be completed or released until payment has been made.
Alterations to Orders
Your cake is very important to us. Please take the time to check your copy of the order form carefully and let us know within two days if changes are needed. It is your responsibility to advise Cotswold Cupcakes of any alterations to the original order. Cotswold Cupcakes reserves the right to increase a quoted fee, if necessary, in the event that the customer requests a variation to the work agreed. Whilst every effort will be made to assist the customer, please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed and incorporated.
Your order may be collected at a pre-arranged time, please contact us to arrange this. A signature will be required upon collection to confirm that you have received your order in good condition and as specified.
Your order can be delivered, please contact us for a quote or to arrange a time. If you have a very specific delivery date and time, please make this known at the time of ordering. We will always do our best to accommodate your requirements.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure the correct delivery information has been provided and that someone is available to receive your cake. A signature will be required confirming receipt of the cake upon delivery.
If non-one is available to receive the cake, the order will be returned to Cotswold Cupcakes and arrangements for an alternative time or collection can be made. Any additional costs incurred due to this will be payable by the customer. Cotswold Cupcakes accepts no responsibility for any loss or consequential loss incurred by the customer as a result e.g. a wedding without a wedding cake.
Should you require your order to be delivered, Cotswold Cupcakes will deliver and set-up your cake/s as agreed as we want to ensure that it is displayed at its best.
It is your responsibility to provide Cotswold Cupcakes with the set-up information and make arrangements with the venue for the cake location. Please ensure, therefore, that the display location is level, stable and strong enough to hold the cake.
Please also remember that chocolate covered cakes can melt in warm conditions such as marquees or when placed in direct sunlight. Once your cake has been collected/delivered, set-up, and signed for Cotswold Cupcakes is unable to accept any liability for any interference with or damage to the cake thereafter.
If a cake is to be delivered and set-up by Cotswold Cupcakes, a signature will be required from your venue management confirming the cake has been received and set-up in good condition. A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to departure by Cotswold Cupcakes to verify that the cake has been set-up and left in good condition.
Wedding cake/special order cancellations:
As your wedding cake and/or special order booking is reserved solely for you and certain components of your cake may be ordered months in advance, the following conditions are implemented when an order is cancelled:
6 months from delivery date: 50% of the total cost will be payable
0-3 months from delivery date: 100% of the total cost will be payable
Wedding cake/special order cancellations must be made in writing.
Other cake order cancellations:
Full payment is required if the cancellation is within 2 months of delivery date, prior to this a refund of any monies paid, less deposit will be made.
Please note no person shall have entitlement to copy or reproduce in any form, or otherwise make use of any image, photograph, design or other document or item produced by or on behalf of Cotswold Cupcakes without prior written consent.
Please be aware that whilst your chosen cake may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes or fillings. Raw materials used may not be free from dairy, wheat or gluten. Allergy information is provided with all cake orders.
